Bradenton Motorsports Park Expands 2025 Upgrades to Include Some Updates and Fixes to the Track Surface!
Although some tracks are in full swing when summer comes around, Florida can slow down a bit during the summer months due to the heat and rain showers that are commonplace during the season.
This proved to be right time for Bradenton Motorsports Park and their next-door neighbor, the Freedom Factory, to make some upgrades around the facility. Co-owner Victor Alvarez recently updated what’s going on, as well as some new updates they didn’t mention initially.

In our initial story (CLICK HERE to read the first story), we covered the main project for both facilities, the entrance / exit road. The current one was barely big enough to accommodate two lanes, and if both properties were hosting events, could easily result in a bottleneck of traffic.
After removing the fence and existing asphalt, the entrance road work is cleaned up and graded to provide a full three lanes to use for both Bradenton Motorsports Park and the Freedom Factory.
A fresh asphalt job could be applied to top it off, but the hold button has been pressed temporarily, as general manger Josh Dauta is pulling permits so the power poles that would restrict some of the right-side lane space will come out first.
The result of all this work will be “three massive lanes, and our pit gate is way down there (on the road from its previous location), so you’ll be able to pull in two rigs at the same time, and still be able to exit the facility,” said Victor.
Behind the concrete water boxes (burnout boxes) on the drag strip, the asphalt that has seen years of abuse from jet car flame shows has been torn up and replaced.
In addition, the grass area alongside the burnout boxes has been replaced with fresh concrete, and the track’s tractors and prep equipment will move from behind the track to the side, to allow for quicker access and less downtime.
But the newest development that caught our eye was the racing surface having some fresh cuts in it, along with some sections missing. “Another huge thing we’ve been working on, we’ve haven’t talked about it at all yet, is we’re making some repair to the track surface,” said Victor.
“About two years ago we redid the track surface, and as it settled and as we ran on it some, we had some things we weren’t happy with, some cracks and some areas of concerns we weren’t happy with.”
“We’ve cut out a bunch of problem areas from the track,” Victor continued. “As we were doing it, we’ve cut out a little bit more, just to make sure it’s perfect once it’s redone.”
With the final cuts done and the problem areas ready for their fix work, the final steps are coming together this week. “The rebar under the concrete, as well as a fresh concrete pour. should be happening in the next couple days,” said Josh.
Although Josh and Victor didn’t say a definitive date, they are hoping to be done with the updates and ready for racing to resume at the end of August 2025.
