Brett LaSala Looks to Build on a Solid 2025 Season by Prepping Popular ‘Snot Rocket 3.0’ Mustang for Multiple Events and Classes in 2026
Just over six months after Brett LaSala captured his first drag and drive victory at the 2024 edition of Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, news broke that his 2012 Mustang known as ‘Snot Rocket 2.0’ had been sold. The Modified class winning average of 6.34 ranks amongst the top ten averages of all time, and it came as an overall victory for LaSala as well.
Anyone that thought the new ‘Snot Rocket 3.0’ might take a while to get ironed out, LaSala eliminated those doubts at Sick Week in 2025, clocking an improved 6.24 average for the week, and a 6.07 at 236 mph run on the final day, the second quickest run ever in the drag and drive community. That would be just the start of a storied year for LaSala in 2025, and he’s gearing up for 2026 with plans for Sick Week again.
In addition to Brett LaSala, the 2026 edition of Gear Vendors Overdrive Sick Week, February 1st through 7th, will showcase some of the best in drag and drive! Tom Bailey, Jeff Lutz, Stefan Gustafsson, Bryant Goldstone, Josh Davis, Randy Seward, Bob Gruber, and more will be looking for another class win, while over 900 street miles of driving through Florida and South Georgia awaits competitors! Following his Sick Week victory in early 2025, LaSala would dive back into heads-up competition, as we’ve seen him do before with Snot Rocket 2.0. He got his start at TX2K, became the first champion in their new 2JZ Versus The World class.
But just two weeks LaSala surprised a good chunk of people, jumping into another new class and racing series by entering the Limited Drag Radial class with the Mustang. “I wanted to try new things and push the envelope with the new car,” said LaSala.
On just his third event in the class, the Yellowbullet Nationals at Cecil County Dragway, LaSala qualified number one with a 3.95 at 193.68 mph pass. During eliminations, LaSala delivered an insane 3.88 at 195 mph blast, and then captured the class victory one round later.
LaSala added victories at the popular FL2K event at Bradenton Motorsports Park in October, as well as a second straight class win at the World Cup Finals in Maryland about a month later. Now, LaSala will prep for a busy 2026 season, including his third-straight Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.
“Sick Week is the best of everything,” said LaSala. “The best tracks, the best prep, and the best weather conditions.” Don’t miss your chance to witness it all at the 2026 edition of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, February 1st through the 7th.
