Michael Westberg Completes a Record-Setting Week, Pushing His ’67 Camaro to Both the Max Outlaw Class Win, and the Overall Victory, at Street Week Sweden!
As the drag and drive community has continued to expand, it has been in more than just in the United States and Canada. The 2026 calendar includes several events between Australia, Sweden and the UK, with one of the longest-running ones, Sweet Week Sweden, finishing up over the weekend.
Michael Westberg has shown champion-caliber performances both in Sweden and in the US, as Westberg captured the overall title at the Gear Vendors Overdrive Sick Week event in 2023. But after selling that winning S-10 pick-up as a roller, Westberg picked up a new lighter Pro Mod style 1967 Camaro, installed the ACE Racing Engines LS, and continued his winning ways.
Sick Michigan Miles, presented by Driven Racing Oil, is back by popular demand - August 17-23, 2026! It’s seven days of drag racing, and exploring the great state of Michigan, all wrapped into one big adventure! We’ve got Sick Ward and discount advance spectator tickets available; CLICK HERE for more details on the Sick Michigan Miles event!
At this year’s Street Week Sweden, Westberg would go on a tear, setting the track record for each of the venues, including a best of 4.051 for his fourth pass of the week, and a final average of 4.226 to claim the Max Outlaw class, and overall, title.
Second in class would be Jonas Sahlin with a 4.473 average, and Henrik Persson with a 4.507 average in third. Those spots would also count for the second and third place overall, earning them an early invite for the 2027 edition of Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.
