Sick Week Champion Pursues Redemption in 2026
Stefan Gustafsson has redemption on his mind for Sick Week 2026 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive (February 1-7), as the former champion prepares for a return to form.
After winning the very first Sick Week in 2022 with a 6.677 average, the Swedish street car driver improved to a 6.598 average in 2023, but finished in second place to fellow Swede Michael Westberg.

The C4 Corvette known as Bitter Tears was replaced by a Camaro Pro Mod called Bittersweet in 2025. The name certainly reflects the experience of Gustafsson with the car so far.
“We missed out on a Gear Vendors guitar last year but hopefully we are back stronger than ever in 2026,” he said.
The new Camaro should be a solid low six-second, if not five-second runner, but traveling halfway around the world to go drag racing comes with some difficulties.
“Sometimes it’s hard not just fall asleep from the jet lag,” Gustafsson said. “When you do this from another country there isn’t as much help, so we just have to overcome and fix shit until the car goes down the track.”
Bittersweet is powered by a turbocharged Harrell Engine & Dyno big-block Chevy (“Not a fancy billet engine,” Gustafsson notes) backed by a TH400. The team plans to get some test runs in before showing what they can do at Sick Week 2026 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive.
“We hope the reliability is there, but if not, we can fix almost everything by ourselves. We will be going hard for the win.”
