About Sick Powerfest

Sick Powerfest is the latest evolution of what started as a private party to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. Tom Bailey’s Woodward Pre-Party became legendary in automotive circles, and it opened up to the public for the first time last year when it became Sick Skids. Thousands of spectators attended the show, where they witnessed the biggest burnout competition ever held in Michigan.

Sick Powerfest has grown to encompass even more communities from the automotive world including drift and RC drag racing.

The action doesn’t stop there, with the expansion of Sick Powerfest to also include the nitro cackle competition. These pristine retro Top Fuel dragsters will be fired up on nitro fuel to make the biggest flames and loudest noise possible.

And then of course there is the burnout competition. Here competitors will spin their tires until they blow, all while demonstrating their use of what is believed to be the world’s largest burnout pad.

Throw in a vintage drag racing display and a midway car show featuring awesome cars from the drag-and-drive world plus Michigan’s hot rod and street machine scene, and you have the recipe for an event not to be missed.
