Frank Webb Turns Up The Performance For His Shot at the Top Spot at Sick Michigan Miles Presented by Driven Racing Oil!
You can’t keep a former class winner down for long, and Frank Webb has been battling hard to get back to quick time slips and winning ways. After winning class at the 2024 edition of Sick Summer presented by Motion Raceworks, Webb found the struggle bus in 2025.
But this season we’ve seen him start to rebound back, and the ’78 Ford Fairmont has made some strong impressions. After 6-second performances at Street Car Braggin Rights, and a class runner-up at Speedfest, Webb comes into the Driven Racing Oil Sick Michigan Miles with some momentum, and a mission.

When Webb earned his Sick Summer helmet in 2024, it was with the car in Pro Street trim, a 598 cubic inch big block Ford engine, and a single turbocharger. Two years later, Webb rolled into this year’s Motion Raceworks Sick Summer event with a 422 cubic inch small block Ford, 88-millimeter sized twin turbos, and a couple tiny tires under the quarter panels to compete in the Rowdy Radial class!
Webb put the class on notice he was going to be tough to handle from the start, grabbing the early lead with a 4.69 at nearly 165 mph pass on Day One. Frank remained in the 4-second range throughout the week, until the final day back in Byron Dragway, when a one-and-done pass of 5.74 ended his week with some issues, and a 4.99 average that dropped him to the second spot.
Since then, Webb has been making moves to get the Fairmont ready for Sick Michigan Miles presented by Driven Racing Oil, and informed us that there could be a new engine or two in the arsenal. When pressed for what he would be running in Michigan next week, Webb didn’t confirm what engine he could be using. “There may be more than one option in play,” he said.
But he wasn’t shy about what his plans were for Sick Michigan Miles. “We will run in the fours,” said Webb. “We’re coming to win it!”
