Miles of Mayhem Celebrates Five Years of Drag and Drive in Canada – Pat Myker, Trevor Branden, Richard Guido and Stephen Grundke Lead Winners List
The drag and drive community celebrated with Miles of Mayhem for the fifth time in Canada, as the annual event once again covered over 1700 kilometers across Canada (over 1000 miles) over six days.
Contestants battled the road, the weather, and each other, for the chance to win in ten different classes.

The Miles of Mayhem event would start 2025 at Central Alberta Raceways (C.A.R.) in Rimbey, then head down the road to MHDRA (Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association) Drag Strip in Medicine Hat for Day Two action.
A new track joined the Miles of Mayhem rotation for Day Three at Area 53 Raceway in Forestburg, then the group motored to Rad Torque Raceway in Edmonton for Day Four, before returning to Rimbey and C.A.R. for the final day.
Mother Nature put the damper on the first two days, pushing the competitors to Day Three at Area 53 Raceway before all of them would get track time. To keep the competition at a five time slip average, two runs would be counted for day three, as well as day four at Rad Torque Raceway.
Despite his potent ’67 Chevrolet Chevelle being parked for nearly a year, Pay Myker overcame coming into the event untested, and dealing with the weather, to put his Chevelle atop the field, and the Outlaw class, for a third-straight year with a 5.04 average.
“We came out with what was a new combination in power and a bit less weight,” said Myker. “We turned the old F3 ProCharger up 12-percent, and lost a bunch of weight changing the steel clutch can out for a titanium one.”
The Small Tire class had a new name at the top of the sheet, but a familiar name in Trevor Branden. The potent Nissan GT-R produced a personal best of 5.203 at Rad Torque Raceway for Branden, enroute to a 5.26 average and the class win.
“Had a great week at Miles of Mayhem,” said Branden. “Managed to pull off a new PB, and had an average higher than my previous PB. I achieved my original goal of placing in the top three overall in order to get an invite to Sick Week, as well as placed first in my class.”
The second repeat winner at Miles of Mayhem was Ron Theissen. For the second time in as many years, Theissen remained the lone champ in the N/A category with a 6.94 average to top the newest Miles of Mayhem class.
The Truck and SUV class also had a repeat winner in 2025, as Stephen Grundke returned to the top spot for the second-straight year. Grundke stepped up his performance in 2025 to a 5.69 average, and a best pass of 5.59, to secure the win.
The third repeat winner came in the 7.50 Second index class, where Kyle Robb topped the field with a .107 of-a-second margin off the 7.50-second base.
A consistent top three finisher, the ‘Canadian Chuck Norris’ Rich Guido ascended to the top spot in the stick shift Manpedal class in 2025. Behind the wheel of his well-traveled ’65 Pontiac GTO, Guido used a 5.64 best pass to compile a 5.74 average and grab the class title.
Last year’s number two finisher in Pro Street, Tyler Gaudet, upped his game to earn the top spot in the class in 2025, thanks to a 6.03 average.
Two-time Modern Muscle class winner Kelly Prosser didn’t return for a possible hat trick title in 2025. That left the top spot open for Ryan Grassl to step up and take, using a 6.59 average for the win in the closest margin of victory performance-based class.
The Bracket class is always a big one, with over 50 competitors coming out for the title for the second year in-a-row, and just three hundredths of-a-second separated the top three finishers! Jamie Hobby denied Norm Johnston a possible fourth class win with a .0854 of-a-second margin off the 8.672-second base. Dean Watts finished second, and Johnston rounded out the top three.
Plan B found Danny Setter making out the best of the class with a .15648 average for the win.
