Rare Air - Jordan Boudreaux Makes History at Sick Week as First Competitor to Finish Top Three in Class For Five Years In-a-Row!

When we first saw Jordan Boudreaux at the 2022 edition of Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, we couldn’t have known what him or the 2002 Ford Mustang known as ‘Gray Goose’ had in store.

He finished third in the 8.50-second limited 275 Street Race class with an 8.56 average, just behind Richard ‘RC’ Flint and William Lujan. Four years later, he would be sitting with them in the grandstands at the awards ceremony, with performances over a second quicker than when he started in 2022, and a Sick Week record-setting trophy in his hand.

Sick Week is in the books, but Sick the Magazine is READY for more on our 2026 season ahead! When Sick Week returned for year two in 2023, Boudreaux and co-pilot Dylan Peacock returned as well for another top three finish in the 275 Street Race class. This time, Jordan improved to an 8.54 average, locking him into a second-straight top three finish.

The defending class champ Lujan would also finish the week with an 8.54 average, a mere .0008 of-a-second better than Boudreaux, giving Lujan his second Sick The Mag helmet, while Boudreaux claimed the second spot.

Boudreaux continued to improve his average in 2024, with a final result of 8.539, netting him another Top Three trophy, with Randy Seward getting the top spot thanks to an 8.512 average result.

Although Boudreaux claimed he wanted to make one more try at a 275 Street Race class win in 2025, he decided to unleash the turbocharged LS-swapped ride for the 2025 edition of Sick Week. But that would require an upgrade in safety.

So, Boudreaux turned to fellow drag and drive competitor Matt Moore of Moore Race Chassis (MRC), and they selected one of MRC’s new ‘Core’ roll cage kits, an SFI-spec 25.5, for 7.50-second legal laps.

“Myself and Peacock have our sights set on 7-second averages in the Super Street category for Sick Week in 2025,” said Boudreaux. They would accomplish that goal, with a 7.91 average from the 408 cubic inch LS bullet, to pick up their fourth Top Three finish in as many years.

But they weren’t done on upgrades, adding more bars to the roll cage to certify at SFI 25.3 specs, and allow for even quicker elapsed times (now capped at 6.50-seconds). Boudreaux also decided to step up on power, as the 408 cube LS was given its walking papers, and a 414-inch LS was slide into the engine bay, acquired from Richard ‘RC’ Flint's Honda S2000, after clocking a 6-second pass in 2025!

Boudreaux upgraded his NHRA license leading up to Sick Week, resulting in a personal best of 7.33 at 191 mph. Once he and Peacock were on Sick Week, they started to lower that personal best mark, looking for their first 6-second lap.

Day Two at South Georgia Motorsports Park netted a 7.10 at 199 mph, which they backed up with a 7.12 at ‘only’ 187 mph at Orlando Speed World Dragway three days later. Because of two ‘off-pace’ runs at Gainesville Raceway on Day One and Day Six, Boudreaux’s final average would be a 9.44 result.

But it would be enough to ring up a third-place finish in the Super Street class, his second-straight Top Three in that class, and his fifth Top Three overall, the only competitor on Sick Week to do so.

“I can’t be happier with how the car performed with a completely new setup and only four full passes prior to Sick Week,” said Boudreaux. “The only issue we had with the car all week was a pin hole in the radiator. And that was likely a result of the low 20-degree weather we had on Day Zero.”

Boudreaux’s next event is Street Car Braggin Rights in Rockingham next month, where he hopes to produce a 6-second time slip. Can Boudreaux and Peacock do it?
