May 28-30, 2026

Three of the biggest names in street car drag racing event promotion will be joining forces for a massive show at Beech Bend Raceway, Kentucky with the running of the first ever Speedfest presented by Sick The Magazine, Street Car Takeover and Braggin Rights.

For three days from May 28-30 2026, the fastest street cars in the nation will be descending on Bowling Green for a showcase event. A party atmosphere alongside serious horsepower will make this an event not to be missed!

The event will kick off on Thursday, May 28 with tech and testing, providing an early chance to see the action. Racers will be treated to a Thursday night welcome party to meet their fellow competitors and enjoy the family-friendly vibes.

The speed ramps up on Friday where qualifying will take place for over 300 street car monsters, across every discipline from drag and drive to roll racing! The day will wrap up with a free concert and entertainment for racers and fans alike.

Speedfest will then get serious with eliminations on Saturday, building into the huge Speedfest Night of Fire, where fans can expect the greatest spectacle in drag racing, from jet cars and nitro, to pyrotechnics and a live DJ.

Class announcements on Sick The Mag drag and drive style classes, and Braggin Rights classes, are below. Sick The Mag will have a final class announcement soon, and we will also announce the Street Car Takeover classes. Spectator tickets will go on sale soon.

Sick Classes

First Class Announcement: Sick Sevens and Sick 8.50 Shootout

Both classes will be invite-only and will be competing for orange helmets, the first time the famed Sick trophies have been offered outside of a week-long drag and drive event. Not only that, but the top ten in each class will also be receiving Sick Week Wildcards for 2027!

Leading the way will be the first ever running of Sick Sevens, a brand new 7.50 index class. There has been a lot of demand for a 7.50 class at Sick events and this will effectively be a trial run for introducing the class on a permanent basis. If you've ever wanted a 7.50 class, NOW is the time to show your support. This class is for tagged and insured street cars teched to run 7.50 or below and will be run in a drag and drive-style format. Entrants must be able to show proven performance in the seven-second zone for an invite.

Also bringing the fire to Speedfest will be the Sick 8.50 Shootout, which we're aiming to turn into the biggest showing of 8.50 street cars in history! Entrants must be able to show proven performance in the eight-second zone for an invite. Just like Sick Sevens, this will be for tagged and insured street cars that are teched to 8.50 or quicker. Funny car cages are okay!
