Sick Bounties - $75,000 Up for Grabs on Setting Drag and Drive Records at Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive!
First, we released the the big news about Sick Wildcards on April 2nd; now it's time for the next huge announcement for Sick Week 2026 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive: Sick Bounties.
We’re going to put up some big money to incentivize racers to break records at Sick Week across a number of classes we think are going to tear it up next year!
Here’s the catch — the records have to be broken at our Sick Week event. If the record falls at another drag-and-drive event before Sick Week, the bounty evaporates (runs during testing or a 'traditional' race event are fine).
Here are the bounties Sick The Mag is putting up for records. Some are likely to be broken soon, some may take a few years, but all will be exciting moments for the sport (all bounties are based on quarter-mile distance):
$10,000 - drag-and-drive single pass record (must run a 5.997 or quicker)
$10,000 - first drag-and-drive five-second average
$5,000 - first Unlimited Iron five-second pass
$5,000 - first Modified five-second pass
$5,000 - first Naturally Aspirated class six-second pass
$5,000 - first Naturally Aspirated class six-second average
$5,000 - first Naturally Aspirated class small block seven-second pass
$5,000 - first Naturally Aspirated class small block seven-second average
$5,000 - first Stick Shift class six-second pass
$5,000 - first Stick Shift class six-second average
$5,000 - first six-second pass in Sick Week Freaks
$5,000 - first six-second average in Sick Week Freaks
$5,000 - first six-second average in Pro Street
Total bounties: $75,000
Again, if the bounty target is achieved before Sick Week 2026 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive, it evaporates.
Drivers must complete the week to receive the bounty. If multiple drivers achieve the bounty goal during the week, the bounty goes to the driver who ran the pass on the earliest day. If two or more drivers achieve the bounty goal on the same day, the prize will be split.
Test day passes are not eligible.
