Steve Morris Eyes Return To Sick Summer With the ‘Boostmaster’ Station Wagon Going for 6-Second Runs On Drag Radials, and a Couple Surprises in Store!
After starting his 2026 by co-piloting with wife Val Morris in her new Camaro known as ‘Better Half’ at Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, Steve Morris got to watch Val score her first drag and drive victory.
But Steve has been busy with the ‘Boostmaster’ station wagon, making the switch from slicks to drag radial tires for this season. And after a successful outing at the Mickey Thompson Turn & Burn event last month, Steve is looking to build on that momentum at the Motion Raceworks Sick Summer event, starting next week on June 14th.

The 2024 drag-and-drive season has moved past the halfway point, and also been featured in a few racing series as well. One of those is the National Muscle Car Association, and the second Sick the Mag Drag-and-Drive Shootout for 2024 will take place at this week’s Mickey Thompson NMCA All-American Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Since the crash at this year’s Sick Week, we’ve waited and wondered when the 6-second station wagon of Steve Morris would see the light again. The answer: this weekend at the new Drop the Hammer drag-and-drive event, put on by fellow drag-and-drive runner Carl Stancell. It starts at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan Friday, May 31st.
