Pre-Testing, Chassis Certification and Licensing Information for Motion Raceworks Sick Summer 2026

With Motion Raceworks Sick Summer 2026 fast approaching, here is what you need to know for pre-event testing opportunities, chassis certs and licensing.

Testing

Pre-event testing and licensing opportunities are available on Friday and Saturday. For racers wishing to test on Friday, you will need to contact MKE Takeover or Byron Dragway.

Day zero (Sunday) of Motion Raceworks Sick Summer includes free testing for all entrants, but will also be very busy, so plan accordingly. 

Licensing

Please read carefully. NHRA has made accommodations on site for NHRA licenses and NHRA chassis certifications.   

If you plan on upgrading or getting a new license,  DO NOT send in your paperwork from now until Sunday. Bring it with you, along with your original (single) time slips. The track will be accepting and processing licenses onsite at Byron. Please contact Byron Dragway if you have questions.   

Anyone getting Advanced ET or quicker, please complete your physical before the event using the forms on www. nhraracer.com. Physicals MUST be on NHRA paperwork AND be performed by a MD or DO doctor.  PA and NP are not accepted.

Licensing runs will only be permitted until the end of testing on Sunday.

Chassis Certifications

Ty Peek will be doing chassis certs on Sunday. If you need a chassis cert, please inform the tech staff while you are in the lanes for tech.
