The Top 100 Averages and Quickest Runs from Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks – 2026 Brings the Heat!
Following in the footsteps of our successful debut of Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive in 2022, Sick The Magazine added the Motion Raceworks Sick Summer event to the drag and drive schedule in 2023.
For the 2026 edition of Sick Summer, we crowned champions in nineteen classes, including the new Motorcycle and Junior Street classes. We saw plenty of first-time winners, we saw new levels of performance for Sick Summer, and as a result, the Top 100 single runs and averages are quicker than ever before!
Sick Michigan Miles, presented by Driven Racing Oil, is back by popular demand - August 17-23, 2026. We’ll spend 7 days cruising and racing our way through the great state of Michigan. First, the overall numbers: 2026 had 318 competitors ready for Day One, down slightly from last year’s high of 342. 44 did not cross the finish line on Day Five, calculating to a 13.8-percent attrition, a much better finishing percentage than the 19.8-percent we saw in 2025.

Event Finishers – Top 100 Averages
The two lists that determine early entry for the 2027 edition for Sick Summer presented by Motion Raceworks show a major performance change on the bump spots for each. Just how quick are the top 100 averages, and how has it changed from year to year?
David Schroeder and John Ens put together a 6.547 average, quicker than the previous Sick Summer record of 6.60 held by Bryant Goldstone from his win at the 2024 edition of the event. The second, third and fourth spots were close, as Steve Morris finished second with an average of 6.715, David Diehl in third with a 6.729 average, and Alex Taylor fourth with a 6.752 average.
The number 100 spot is where the shock comes in. Keyleigh Miller’s clean ’70 Chevrolet Camaro locks down the final spot with a 10.47 average, a little over half a second quicker than the 2025 bump spot of 10.99!
The Top 100 Averages for the 2026 edition of Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks are listed below (as well as the Rowdy Radial class averages that factor into the area above the top 100 average bump spot):

Top 100 Individual Runs
The second list used to determine early entry for the 2027 edition for Sick Summer is the Top 100 Individual Run list. Unlike the average list where the numbers come from participants that complete the event, the Top Individual Run list comes from both finishers and those on the Did Not Finish (DNF) list, with the quickest run from each racer used.
To crack the top 100 single runs at Motion Raceworks Sick Summer historically, a low 10-second time slip has been required, with the top 100 anchored by a 10.203 run in 2025. This was slightly quicker than the bump spot of 10.261 at the 2024 edition of Sick Summer.
The Schroeder-Ens Corvette blasted into the record book with a 6.097 pass to hold the top spot on this year’s Sick Summer, Josh Davis landed second with a 6.298 pass from Devin Vanderhoof’s 2017 Mustang, and three-time Sick Summer champion Bryant Goldstone rounded out the top three with a 6.619 from his ’72 AMC Javelin.
But, unlike the huge performance change on the Top 100 Average bump spot, the single run Top 100 is anchored by Ryan Zelma’s 10.165 run from his unique 1988 Ford Ranger, about a four hundredths improvement from 2025.
The Top 100 Single Runs for the 2026 edition of Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks are listed below (as well as the Rowdy Radial class single runs that factor into the area above the top 100 average bump spot):
