Aaron Shaffer is prepping for his final event of 2023, Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0, and is aiming for a second-straight Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0 Limited Street class victory, which would mark three 8.50-ET limited class wins in the same season.

Since his last drag-and-drive appearance in the fall of 2022, Finnegan has made strides to get the ‘Blasphemi’ 1955 Chevrolet ready for its next drag-and-drive outing, which many have speculated will be Hot Rod Drag Week this year.

While his 2018 Camaro was getting upgrades in power, Steve Willingham was plotting his second entry for drag-and-drive competition. “During the 2021 season I decided to do a purpose-built drag-and-drive car.”

“We tentatively are planning to head to Haltech in mid-September to put the car on their dyno. Once the final details are complete, we will test and make sure everything is lined out before stepping back into the drag-and-drive arena.”

I made a week full of memories with my daughter. We completed the event, drove an untested car 590 miles and made passes at four drag strips I'd never been to before.”

While riding in the family car with his father, an 11-year-old Alan Whitaker sees a first generation (1970-1972) Chevrolet Monte Carlo. He asks his dad “what kind of car is that?” Once he got the Monte Carlo answer, Alan never got it out of his head. “At that point, I knew I’d own one.
