The 2026 Edition of Gear Vendors Overdrive Sick Week is Sold Out – But Sick The Magazine Has 4 More Event Options in 2026 That You Can Participate In, Sick Ward, And Sick Wildcard Spots Up for Grabs!
From the first event in 2022, Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive has gained a reputation of a drag and drive event not to be missed. Four world-class race tracks, great track prep, optimal weather, and scenic drives combine to create a platform where competitors consistently deliver record-setting performances.
As such, it also came with high demand for competitor spots, which sell out each year in a matter of minutes. The 2026 edition of Sick Week is no different, with just minutes after 9 a.m. before the ‘Sold Out’ tag appeared for competitors.
Our next event, Sick Smokies Presented by Edelbrock, is ALMOST HERE, October 12-19th, 2025! 7 days cruising the South, including Tail Of The Dragon, with over 70 Gassers and more than 250 total competitors! But if you didn’t grab one of those coveted spots, Sick The Magazine will host multiple event opportunities in 2026, giving you the chance to experience a new adventure. Plus, we will offer more chances than ever in 2026 to get a competitor spot into Sick Week for 2027, and don’t forget the Sick Ward, Sick Spit Show & Shine, and spectator options! READ ON!
Sick the Mag creator and drag and drive enthusiast Tom Bailey knew that Sick Week was a hit right from the start in 2022 at the first event. But he also knew that the community wanted more; both in the form of consistent events each year, as well as unique events each and every year.
“The Sick The Mag slogan ‘For The Adventure’ is more than just a couple words,” said Tom. “It can mean something different to each competitor, each Sick Ward participant, and even every spectator that joins us. Our team listens, and we strive to deliver events that enthusiasts eagerly look forward to each year.
Similar to Sick Week, our popular staple event Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks will return to the Midwest, June 14th through the 20th, 2026. A great way to kick off summer time, Sick Summer also features a solid showing of over 300 competitors, several top vendors on our daily midway at each track, and great cruising route through a trio of states over a week in June not to be missed.
If Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks sounds like your way to experience a drag and drive, CLICK HERE to visit the Sick Summer event page for more details, and fill out the ‘Expression of Interest’ so we can get you more details on those competitor spots.
Similar to our 2025 season, Sick The Magazine will offer multiple additional events to our popular Sick Week and Sick Summer events in 2026. “You spoke up, showed up, and we took notice,” said Tom. “Because of that, we have a trio of events joining Sick Week and Sick Summer for 2026.”
The third week-long event for 2026 will be Michigan Miles, which Sick The Mag hosted for the first time in 2025. “It’s the chance to celebrate our home state,” said Tom. “And the feedback was insane. So many came out and enjoyed it, and so many more said they wanted a second helping. So, we’re bringing it back for 2026, and we’ll make it an adventure not to be missed.”
We’re still in the planning stages of this eighth-mile racing based event, but the dates are set: August 16th through the 22nd, 2026. More event details will be released as we get them, but get over to the Sick Michigan Miles Event Page by CLICKING HERE and fill out that ‘Expression of Interest’ form so we can keep you updated!
The fourth week-long event will be a celebration like no other, as Sick 66 returns to the fold, September 27th through October 3rd, 2026. Known as ‘The Mother Road’ and ‘Main Street of America’ to more than just a few enthusiasts, Sick The Magazine first hosted Sick 66 in 2024. In what will be a historic year in 2026, the Sick 66 event makes a storied return.
“2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Route 66 opening to the public,” said Tom. “After the adventure we had in 2024, and the century of history that will be celebrated in 2026, we had to return to Route 66 for another shot.”
As with Michigan Miles, this will once again be an eighth-mile based racing event, and we will make it unique and not to be missed! More event details will be released as we get them, but make sure to CLICK HERE and visit the Sick 66 Event Page, and fill out the ‘Expression of Interest’ form!
Our fifth event combines the drag and drive experience with a weekend platform and a great track location, Beech Bend Raceway Park, for Sick On The Green, May 28th through the 31st, 2026. We’ll have more details soon on this event, but you can visit the Sick On The Green event page by CLICKING HERE, and doing the ‘Expression of Interest’ form!
There’s also the popular Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward Presented by Peak Performance. First introduced at the 2022 edition of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive for those that wanted to join the fun and drive without the worry of drag strip passes, the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward Presented by PEAK Performance is a great way for enthusiasts to join us.
In addition to a discounted admission rate for the week versus buying individual tickets in advance or at each track, the package includes a limited edition Sick Ward t-shirt, and a windshield banner to show your support. There’s also the popular Sick Spit Show & Shine upgrade option, with inside parking and eligibility for show awards.

Finally, the popular ‘Sick Wildcards’ that was introduced in 2025, will come back with more spots up for grabs in 2026! The 2026 edition of the Sick Wildcards program will provide invites to Sick Week 2027 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive for the top drag-and-drivers at select events, including our Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks, Sick Michigan Miles, Sick 66, and Sick On The Green events.
Sick Wildcards will be earned for placing at the top (overall) at certain events throughout the season, and at each Sick event in 2026, we will offer up TEN SPOTS! No fighting for Sick Week entries in registration that disappear in seconds.
“We’re giving you more options for events in 2026,” said Tom. “We hope you can join us for a day, or the entire event, and experience your own adventure with Sick the Magazine in 2026!”
