Sick Bounties - $75,000 Up for Grabs on Setting Drag and Drive Records at Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive!
First, we released the the big news about Sick Wildcards on April 2nd; now it's time for the next huge announcement for Sick Week 2026 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive: Sick Bounties.
We’re going to put up some big money to incentivize racers to break records at Sick Week across a number of classes we think are going to tear it up next year!
Here’s the catch — the records have to be broken at our Sick Week event. If the record falls at another drag-and-drive event before Sick Week, the bounty evaporates (runs during testing or a 'traditional' race event are fine).
Dave Schroeder and John Ens Join Tom Bailey and Sick The Mag to Team with Keith & Tonya Turk for an Eventful Speedweek at Bonneville Salt Flats – Setting 2 Class Records, Joining the 200 MPH Club
Getting a chance to drive a car that has set class records for several drivers, at seven different locations, can hit a prospective driver with high levels of excitement.
But it can also come with pressure, wanting to deliver a solid performance on the given opportunity.
Two drivers that have participated in numerous drag and drive events for over a decade got the chance to trade the streets and the quarter-mile drag strip for Utah and the Bonneville Salt Flats this year.
Could Tom Bailey and Dave Schroeder make the most of the opportunity, with both drivers possibly earning a class record, as well as joining the 200 MPH club?

After making his license runs, and an engine swap, David Schroeder of Schroeder-Ens Racing will make his first record attempt in the Turk’s Camaro today
Setting the Standard – Brett LaSala and Ed Ensor Lead a Record-Setting List of Winners from Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive
After five days of traveling through Georgia and Florida, Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive rolled into South Georgia Motorsports Park for the final day to see who had enough left in the tank to complete a nearly 850 mile trip, and their final pass, from five days of work.
We may have started with rain and cold temperatures on Day Zero that prevented any on track activity, but on Day Five, the all-concrete surface in southern Georgia was scorched with record times and shocking faces as competitors just kept getting quicker throughout the day.
Small Tire Super Street Competitors Aim for the Sixes at Sick Week 2025
Many will stress that the main focus of a drag-and-drive event is to complete the event, while having a good time and making memories. But we’d be lying if we didn’t talk about some of the incredible performances that are accomplished as well.
From the quickest cars in Unlimited, to the Rowdy Radial rides that clock 4.6-second times on an 8.5-inch tire, we celebrate those that push the envelope of performance. The 6-second barrier in the small tire, stock suspension, Super Street class could be broken for the first time at Sick Week 2025 Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.
Two competitors clocked 6-second runs in testing during the 2024 season; can they do in competition next week?
Over 5000 Turbocharged Horsepower Recorded on a Hub Dyno - FuelTech’s Hub Dyno Record Smashed with a 5326 Horsepower Result!
The evolution of engine building and making big horsepower has really ramped up in the last decade! Although there are classes that keep those power figures in check with weight and power-adder restrictions, seeing the potential of what’s available to consumers is still eye-opening!
Can the World's Quickest Naturally-Aspirated Street Car Go Even Quicker in 2024?
At Sick Summer Presented by TBM Brakes in 2023, Eddie Ensor lowered not only the naturally aspirated average to a staggering 7.53, but also the single run record to a 7.46 at 184.61 mph. Could he improve on those numbers in 2024?
