This year, Motion followed brothers Doug and Andy Cook, who both ran the Rowdy Radial class. TBM employee Tanner Stover in the Modified class, and previous Hot Rod Drag Week winner Eric Yost in the Super Street class.

Donovan and new co-pilot Reggie Gonzalez were into day two of driving toward Florida, a mere two hours from Bradenton Motorsports Park.. But just north of the 2022 Sick Week’s final checkpoint, things drastically changed.

Despite a few big events already in the books for the 2023 season, this weekend brings a couple big events to the table that signals the racing season is getting underway.

My head fills with all the late nights, the cruises, the checkpoints, the calls for broken parts to fix allowing a competitor to just “finish the week.” It’s official; I’m in the “drag-and-drive hangover” phase.

The class was separated by less than one-thousandth of-a-second on the top two spots in 2022, and with a stacked field of competitors, there was no doubt history could repeat in 2023.

Fresh from a win in the new Rowdy Radial class at 2023 Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, Devin Vanderhoof is sharing some of the secrets of his success.

The Sick Street Race class started with 26 participants, and by the second day, the focus for the top spot had shifted to Aaron Shaffer and Dustin Trance.

With Thursday and Gainesville Raceway in the rear-view mirror, Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive would make the drive to return back to Orlando “Sick” World Dragway for the final day, day 5, to wrap up an epic week.

Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive saw a bunch more records set from the world’s quickest street cars. We don’t call it the Super Bowl of Drag And Drive for nothing! So here are just some of the amazing numbers that made up this year’s event.

A whopping 78 cars and trucks were officially out of competition as the track got busy at 9 am, but the two quickest cars were still geared up and ready for battle.

Boost and beaches! The final drive day of Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive took racers from Gainesville Raceway to the coast of Florida as they ventured back to Orlando ahead of the final day of competition. Wes Allison captured many of them en route!

277 of the original 332 competitors rolled north into Georgia to start day three of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.

Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive briefly rose out of Florida to attend South Georgia Motorsports Park. After the day’s racing, competitors took a beautiful country drive on the back roads down to Gainesville. Wes Allison captured the feeling along the way.

With a lot of carnage at Orlando on day one, the drive to Bradenton Motorsports Park for day two would prove a late one, for several competitors not arriving at their hotels until the early hours of Tuesday morning.

As racing moved on to Bradenton Motorsports Park, the action did not let up!

Vegas odds makers would have a tough time figuring out favorites for possible Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive winners.
